I-65 Beautification Project on Tap for 2020

Bowling Green will be hard to miss for the millions of people who travel Interstate 65 annually if the BeautifI-65 project is built as expected later this year.

Under the direction of community beautification group Operation P.R.I.D.E., the effort will include four-plank wooden fencing, colorful flags and landscaping at exits 22, 26 and 28, as well as building two gateway signs at exits 20 and 30 for drivers coming to the city from the south and north.

Bowling Green Businesses Make Valentine’s Day a Sweet One

With less than 48 hours until Valentine’s Day, some people may be rushing to take lat minute purchases, while behind the scenes several Bowling Green businesses are working hard to get things ready.

Jules Sandlin says she’s working sunrise to sunset preparing orders for her first Valentine’s Day in her brand new shop, Jules with the Flowers.

Uber Loses Early Challenge to California Gig-Worker Law

Uber Technologies Inc. failed to persuade a judge to shield its drivers from California’s gig-worker protection law while the company challenges the landmark measure in court. A federal judge in Los Angles rejected a request by Uber and Postmates Inc. to temporarily block enforcement of Assembly Bill 5, which aims to convert gig-economy workers from independent contractors to employees with benefits. Uber and Postmates didn’t ask the judge to shield other companies from the law.

Warren County Landfill to Become PowerPlex Park

An unused Warren County Landfill will soon take on new life as a destination for fans of dirtbikes, four-wheelers, and so much more.

Two Bowling Green developers are taking the land, located on Glen Lily Road, and turning it into a Powersports Park.

“Actually when we first looked at it, I knew it was going to be perfect,” said Sye Head, Co-Owner and Developer. “We all had some questions though, on if it was going to work out and once we figured out that, you know, it had been capped nearly 40 years ago the first time it was a no brainer.”
